英语版的读后感篇1

the first time to open this classic as a fifth grade, then was only attracted by its tortuous plot, not very understand the concept of beauty and ugliness; it is not very different between the mind and appearance. the second time was watching the film, the actor's acting is really wonderful, but after all, it is " acting" out. in fact, the most important from the book to understand a vivid image, from the text to understand the beauty of the soul and ugliness.

hugo is the most shining star in the french literary world in the 19th century. he is a great playwright, novelist, and a flag bearer and leader of french romantic literature. this book highlights the " contrast of beauty and ugliness ". the characters and events in the book come from reality but are greatly exaggerated and strengthened. the whole novel is a beautiful and strange picture, forming a sharp. incredible goodness and evil, beauty and ugliness. the eternal sob of the river, the sigh of the wind, the record of the tragedy, open in the not.

the beautiful and kind-hearted girl eth, the cruel hypocritical notre dame choderlos de laclos and the ugly, the noble bell ringer quasimodo. eth was the darling of the stray in paris, who depended on the street entertainers for a living. she was innocent and sympathetic and helpful to the rescue, for she could not bear to see an innocent person being put to death, and she accepted the poet gan guo as her own husband in order to save his life. when she saw quasimodo endure under the scorching sun, only she would pity pity, although quasimodo had hurt her, but she did not care, and sent the water to the lips of quasimodo, who shouted at the end of her thirst. such a noble girl will be slander by the church' as " witch" " the murderer" and sentenced to hanging.

eth is the embodiment of beauty and good, her inner beauty, the external beauty, but suffered so hard, let us oil, however, a strong resentment against the feudal church and the royal power. in fact, beauty also needs to insist, need courage, think, how many people can always maintain a pure heart like eth, can risk to save a person who has hurt himself? she is holy, and does not allow any filth to defile. she is " beautiful "! " this noble feeling is hot under different conditions, and in your eyes, this humble creation is changed into shape, and small becomes great, and the deformity becomes beauty.

the other two distinct images - claude and quasimodo - have also made me more powerful. claude on the surface of ascetic ascetic life, but the heart desires debauchery, the worldly pleasures are full of envy. he is selfish, insidious, unscrupulous. and quasimodo, a hunchback, one-eyed, deaf and crippled freak, was born of discrimination and bullying in the world, where he first experienced the warmth of the hearts of the man, who, after this gross and barbarous character, sustenance all his life and passion in the body, through fire and water, and at the sacrifice of her own happiness for her happiness.

on the internet, i saw a metaphor for f and seamus, a literary grace, as follows:

one is a crystal vase, very beautiful, shiny, but with cracks, the water inside has all the light leak. one is ceramic vase, rough, ordinary, but reserved full of water. perhaps, doomed the beauty and the ugly blend can make this world become fierce, generous, stunning, let each reader's heart re-establish the value of " beauty ".

the charm of beauty is so, is to let us shock, hugo is relying on his romantic style to touch readers to wash the dirt of the heart, let the beautiful flowers bloom in the heart!

this novel is inspired by the beauty of human nature, has been emitting strange luster and infinite power for centuries!

英语版的读后感篇2

英语版的读后感篇3

‘we are equal!’ when these three words came out of the plain-looking girl’s mouth, the whole world was shocked.

we have good reason to be shocked——deprived of family happiness from an early age, with neither beauty nor wealth to speak of, jane eyre seems to be never destined to bee the heroine shining in the spotlight we often read about in romances——but is there really such a thing called destiny? at least jane doesn’t think so. she is not pretty; she is not rich; she is a mere ordinary governess, so what? as an individual human existence, she has dignity as well as anyone else, so she deserves the chance to love and to be loved as well as anyone else! despite her short, delicate body, her soul is not the least weaker than others’——even greater than most of them. the moment she said the three powerful words to mr. rochester proudly and steadily, her pale face must have been sparkling with sacredness, which would have made her the most beautiful woman ever, because the beauty of independence is eternal. with this spirit of independence she not only gained herself love, respect and happiness but also proved to the world that nobody is second class——unless you believe yourself to be.

hundreds of thousands of ordinary girls that usually get neglected in life——me included——love and admire jane deeply because she inspires and encourages us to strive for our life goals against all odds bravely. she is a role model, an idol in our hearts but at the same time a friend, a big sister next door who’s not at all cold and distant, always ready and willing to stand by our side whenever we are in trouble. every time when i feel inferior, puzzled and lose faith in myself and the strength to carry on the life path already chosen, jane, my dear friend’s determined face and forceful words on that serene summer night would emerge inside my mind, which never failed to relight my fire of passion. oh, how i long to be like her.

but it’s not that i totally believe in her life story, by which i mean i don’t think the story of hers can happen to anybody. to me, it’s somewhat like a fairy tale that begins with ‘long long ago’ and ends with ‘ever after’, in which the prince and princess, though having suffered much in the process of getting together, would always end up in a harmonious marriage and enjoy all the best life has to offer. being an obscure girl herself, the author charlotte bronte was so generous as to have provided our dear jane a mr. rochester who loves her just the way she is, appreciates her unique character and a kindhearted family (later proved to be her relatives) that took her in when she was helpless and offered her a job to support herself. in reality, not every jane eyre can meet the proper people at the right time, just as not every ugly duckling can turn into a graceful swan——it may depend on a matter of luck. if you are too obsessed with fairy tales, you are very likely to feel disappointed and deceived by the not-so-perfect everyday life. but what are fairy tales for? we love to read them and we tend to believe in them even though we know they are not real. sometimes we do need a little romantic daydream as seasonings in the routine of life, and we also need an ideal to believe in, a creed to live by, and a northern star to show us directions on the long journey.

that’s maybe what jane eyre is for——it gives numerous mon girls a possibility to look forward to, a life to reach for, and above all, a positive attitude to face all odds to encounter. perhaps we can’t all have her luck, but we can have her independence, confidence, persistence, the courage of standing up to fight for ourselves against those seemingly taller than us, and the faith that we can finally win because we are equal.

英语版的读后感篇4

little woman was written by american female writer alcott. after reading this novel, i have some opinions about these four women.

the novel described four sisters in the march family; they were kind to each other and love each other, hardworking, stayed with neighbor laurence friendly. different disposition girls had found their own happy through their own goodness and industrious. the novel has not a fluctuation plot and fascinating suspension in a play, but the author described the happiness in march family with the simple language. their good and kind, loyalty to love and family has left me a deep impression. the author only described very ordinary detail in the life, but reveals the love to the happy life expectation everywhere.

although these girls born in a poor family, but they all had the positive attitude to any matter, the novel had laid emphasis on their individuality and the dignity, but also has displayed their self-expression restraint. independently was these four girls’s common characteristic, they always keep discovering their own shortcoming and correct it as soon as possible which worth our learning. look we, some people always make mistakes, but they always think that it is a small mistake; they don’t need to notice it, let it go. if every one like them, the society will become very awful, no rule can limit people’s behaviors, they can do anything they like.

these four girls are very different, let me introduce them, meg, the eldest of the four, was sixteen, and very pretty, being plump and fair, with large eyes, plenty of soft, brown hair, a sweet mouth, and white hands, of which she was rather vain. fifteen-year-old jo was very tall, thin, and brown, and reminded one of a colt, for she never seemed to know what to do with her long limbs, which were very much in her way. she had a decided mouth, a comical nose, and sharp, gray eyes, which appeared to see everything, and was by turns fierce, funny, or thoughtful. her long, thick hair was her one beauty, but it was usually bundled into a net, to be out of her way. round shoulders had jo, big hands and feet, a flyaway look to her clothes, and the uncomfortable appearance of a girl who was rapidly shooting up into a woman and didnt like it. beth, as everyone called her was a rosy, smooth-haired, bright-eyed girl of thirteen, with a shy manner, a timid voice, and a peaceful expression which was seldom disturbed. her father called her "little tranquility," and the name suited her excellently, for she seemed to live in a happy world of her own, only venturing out to meet the few whom she trusted and loved. amy, though the youngest, was a most important person in her own opinion at least. a regular snow maiden, with blue eyes, and yellow hair curling on her shoulders, pale and slender, and always carrying herself like a young lady mindful of her manners. what the characters of the four sisters were we will leave to be found out.

i love meg for her being glad to impoverish for love, not enticed by the money. she did family teacher to help the family. i love jo for her free and easy, likes her for the steadfast determination which she struggles for dream. she earns living expenses with aunt march and writes articles for the newspaper to gain the payment to increase the daily necessities to the family. i love beth for her tranquil characteristic, doing anything without any complain. like her good personal character which always considers for others, she loves music and feels shy with strangers, so she always does some housework with her mother at home. i also love amy for her strong desire; she regard supporting the poor people as her own faith. she was interested in sketch. though their idea and the destiny are various, they had all found their own love.

in their eyes, the family was not only the place of growth but also the holy refuge. they liked to hear their mothers instruction carefully; they created games by their clever brain and hands which can beautify the mind. four sisters growth courses were as if an interest education poem. the author had shown us the humanitys great dear ones such as friendship and love with ordinary language. in my opinion, it will be the happiest matter if these four sisters can live with those who they love. they are all good person, if i can live with them, i think my left will become rich and colorful.

an old saying said that “three women can play a performance”, woman always have their own idea, if the idea has formed, and almost no one can change it. when women meet, if one talks her opinion about something, another one will give her opinion to the first one, then the argument will take place, let’s imagine, there were four women in one family, though they are sister, argument can’t avoid, it will be very interesting in the home.

from the novel, i have learned that we should keep hope for future and make great efforts to seek dream. i also have learned to cherish what you have had such as your parents, time and so on ,we should discover everyones merit but to take the colored eye to see others shortcoming.

remember, whatever your goal is, you will get it if you are willing to do!

英语版的读后感篇5

on summer vacation of this year,i studied in novel "old man and sea "of hemingway, famous writer of u.s.a.,i admire the old fisherman's will in the novel very much,he lets me understand that a person must have unremitting spirit, could succeed.

man is not made for defeat,a man can be destroyed but he can not be defeated.gently closing the book "the old man and the sea",i can't help thinking.in real life, encountering difficulty is unavoidable, the most important is to confront and have perseverance so that we can learn from failure.

英语版的读后感篇6

the book i read this week entittled the red and the black, which is undoubtedly among the best liturature works. as a person who haven’t had much knowledge in literature, any comments on this work seem to be rather naive and even sort of reckless. but this is the only book i have access to recently. with much deliberation, i would like to write down following words.

the book mainly tells a story about a man named julien, who came from a carpenter’s family and got a shrewd father and two elder brothers characterized by huge size and rudeness. though he wasn’t quite athletic, he got talent with his memory. he could recite the whole contents of the bible, which made him admired by people around him and win him a job as a family teacher. and this is the part where our story begins. under his gorgeous face, there exists a relentless lust for fortune, power and status, all of which derive from his persuit of happiness, dignity and freedom and finally contributed to his downfall. (ing from the low class in the society and hope to achieve success with their own efforts. these people usually don’t have the necessary conditions to become successful, but they will by no means stop trying or let god tells them what their lives should be like, instead, they are willing to sacrifice anything to realize their dreams and earn their dignity. for these people, no matter what the consequences their struggle may be, i should forever pay my tribute to them. to some extent, they are the makers of the world.

英语版的读后感篇7

once when i was six years old, i saw a magnificent picture in a book, called true stories from nature, about the primeval forest. it was a picture of a boa constrictor in the act of swallowing an animal. here is a copy of the drawing.

in the book it said:" boa constrictors swallow their prey whole, without chewing it. after that they are not able to move, and they sleep through the six months that they need for digestion."

i pondered deeply, then, over the adventures of the jungle. and after some work with a colored pencil i succeeded in making my first drowing,my drawing number one. it looked like this:

i showed my masterpiece to the grown-ups, and asked them whether the drawing frightened them.

but they answered:"frighten? why should any one be frightened by a hat?"

my drawing was not a picture of a hat. it was a picture of a boa constrictor digesting an elephant. but since the grown-ups were not able to understand it, i made another drawing: i drew the inside of the boa constrictor,so that the grown-ups could see it clearly. they always need to have things explained. my drawing number two looked like this:

the grown-ups response, this time, was to adviseme to lay aside my drawing of boa constrictors, whether from the inside or the outside and devote myself instead to geography, history, arithmetic and grammar. that is why, at the age of six, i gave up what might have been a magnificent career as a painter. i had been disheartened by the failure of my drawing number one and my drawing number two. grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it si tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them.

so then i chose another profession, and learned to pilot airplanes.

i have flown a little over all parts of the world:and it is ture that geography has been very useful to me. at a glance i can distinguish china from arizona. if one gets lost in the night, such knowledge is valuable.

in the course of this life i have had a great many encounters with a great many people who have been concerned with matters of consequence. i have lived a great deal among grown-ups. i have seen them intimately, close at hand. and hasn't much improved my opinion of them.

whenever imet one of them who seemed to me at all clearsighted, i tried the experiment of showing him my drowing number one. which i have always kept. i would try to find out, so, if this was a person of true understanding. but, whoever it was, he ,or she, would always say:

"that is a hat."

then i would never talkto that people about boa constrictors, or primeval forest, or stars. i would bring myself down to his level. i would talk to him about bridge, and golf, and politics, and neckties. and the grown-ups would be greatly pleased to have met such a sensible man.
